Finding a delicious yet healthy dessert can always be challenging.
Like all of us, I often get chocolate cravings and this is my absolute favorite quick desert to make! It’s delicious, healthy, vegan, Gluten & Dairy Free Chocolate Pudding!
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1/4 cup of cocoa
- 1/4 cup of almond or coconut milk
- 1/4 cup of honey (ideally local raw honey)
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Blend all the ingredients together and top with your favorite berries or bananas! I also like to add sliced almonds and coconut flakes as a topping.
Have this delicious, guilt-free treat as a post lunch, snack or after dinner!
Avocado as the base for the pudding is the secret key to this pudding’s success! The creamy texture of avocados make them the perfect base. Their mild taste means that the other sweeter flavors can still dominate. Avocados have vitamin E & K, potassium, soluble fiber, and are known to lower cholesterol.
You can use a different flavored extract each time. Try almond or mint instead of vanilla for a slightly different flavor combination!
Cocoa powder also has health benefits. Unlike dark chocolate, it doesn’t contain any added sugar. It’s a great source of antioxidants and minerals like iron and magnesium.
